New hires round out team of industry experts turning mobile entertainment up to ‘eleven’

Amp’d Mobile, America’s leading mobile entertainment provider, today announced a bevy of additions to its executive team designed to complement the company’s established leadership in the mobile entertainment industry. Among the key positions announced are: President, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development.

Bill Stone, currently serving as COO, was promoted to President, Amp’d Mobile. In his new role, Stone will continue to oversee the daily operations of the Amp’d US business. Additionally, Stone will manage the strategic direction of the company and lead the launch of Amp’d Mobile internationally.

Taking over the role of COO will be Sue Swenson, a telecommunications veteran with more than 15 years of executive management experience. Swenson will lead the daily operations of Amp’d US in the areas of Technology Operations, Customer Care, Human Resources, and Facilities.

Prior to joining Amp’d Mobile, Swenson served as COO of T-Mobile, President & COO of Leap Wireless International, CEO of Cellular One, and President & COO of PacTel Cellular.

In September, Dan Cohrs was named Executive Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development at Amp’d. His prior experience includes senior finance and corporate development positions at Global Crossing, GTE Corporation, Northwest Airlines, and Marriott Corporation.

Other new hires at the Santa Monica-based mobile entertainment company include the additions of Russ Eisenman, Vice President of Marketing, and Todd Meyer, Vice President of Human Resources.

Reporting to Amp’d Chief Marketing Officer Doug Dobie, Eisenman will lead the company’s retail and online initiatives. Prior to joining Amp’d, Eisenman served as Chief Marketing Officer for Tower Records.

Before joining Amp’d Mobile, Meyer was Vice President of Global Human Resources at Jamdat Mobile where he successfully managed the company ranks through its IPO and acquisition by Electronic Arts. He has also held senior HR positions at Microsoft, Yahoo, and GeoCities
